It's been an exciting journey to work on this project with other historical novelists, Sarah Eden, Heidi Ashworth, Annette Lyon, Joyce DiPastena & Donna Hatch. They are all excellent writers, so it was wonderful when everyone submitted their stories and I got to read them for the first time. I'd read books by all of the authors, except for Donna Hatch. I loved reading her story and now I have to go and get her other books :-)
I'm not a big short-story reader, or a short-story writer either. But over the summer, I've read several short stories and have really enjoyed the quick reads. The pacing seemed a bit faster and the plots less complex, but there are those days & weeks in which I don't have time to read a full book, yet, I still like to read something and have a quicker resolution.
We hope that readers will get a chance to read an author they haven't heard of before . . . discovering new authors is one of my favorite things!
