Book Giveway WEEK 3!

Sorry I'm a little late announcing last week's winner, but I was at a Writer's Conference over the weekend and they didn't have wireless internet. Lame!

So . . . the winner of a free copy of Land of Inheritance is: KARLENE

Congrats, Karlene! Email me your address at: heather (at) hbmoore (dot) com

Thanks everyone else for your answers to week 2's question. Keep trying. Seven more weeks to go and seven more books will be given away.

If you don't know what the heck this contest is all about, more here.

Basically, if you answer this weeks question in the comments you'll be in the drawing for a copy of the award-winning book, Land of Inheritance.

THIS WEEK'S QUESTION IS:
Name 1-3 books that you've read in the past two years that changed your perception about a person, society, country, etc.

On my list would be: A Thousand Spendid Suns by Khaled Housseini; Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin; The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

My reasons:

A Thousand Spendid Suns by Khaled Housseini: Interesting insight into the lives of Afghanistan women, and how the Taliban changed the face of the country forever

Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin: Amazing story of how one man raised funds to build schools in poverty-stricken areas of Afghanistan

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho: Really changed my attitude on why we work so hard to attain our goals, then become our worst self-defeatest

I read "The Alchemist," too, but I didn't really get it.
Now, Captain Underpants, I get. :o)
