Some pics from BEA

Over the next couple of weeks, I'll be posting blogs about my experience at BEA Expo in Los Angeles. But for now, here are some fun pictures:

Lu Ann Staheli and I in front of the L.A. Convention Center:

James Dashner signing copies of his most excellent book: The 13th Reality

NY Times Bestselling author, Jason Wright, signing copies of his soon-to-be-released book: Recovering Charles

Karen Kingsbury--siging copies of Between Sundays. She was a gracious person and posted pictures of all those who came to her line on her website:

And Lu Ann's idol: Peter Walsh (the "Clean Sweep" guy on Oprah), now an author. I stood in the line with Lu Ann and told Peter that I was a recent convert. We hope to interview him for our Writing Blog soon!

I really really really wish I was there with you. If I had Janette's genie from her new book, I could be!

Man, whoever wrote that 13th Reality book is one handsome dude. I mean, that's almost Mr. Bean territory, seriously.

No photo of Neil Gaiman? Ah, shucks.

Neil would have been very cool to get a picture of!

I read on James Dashner's blog that Gaiman was there.
I did get a photo of Neil Gaiman once -- when he was drawing a rat in my copy of Coraline for me at the Edinburgh Lit. Festival in 2003.
Anyway, I'm jealous you got to go to this conference. Both you and Dashner have made it sound very interesting.

Paperback: You'll have to post your picture of Gaiman ;) In 2011 the Expo is in Vegas, so I'm driving my van down there to load up on books. lol. It was so cool to meet so many of my favorite authors and have them sign books. I'm sure I said something really annoying to all of them. I told R.L. Stein that his cliffhangers kill me. I was speechless in front of Ann Pachett--although she did comment that her sister's name is Heather . . .
